We are recruiting for a Senior Product Specialist to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.  
 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lead product planning, development and maintenance for assigned products in support of enhancing Amerisures expertise in target markets.   Research and respond to key trends, regulatory adjustments, environmental forces and market needs. Lead or support projects to bring recommendations to execution in collaboration with internal and external partners and track and report product performance to key stakeholders. 
    

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review/analyze bureau circulars for new and existing products and coverages including the Rules and Forms to implement as appropriate.
  • Develop, capture, and document business requirements and collaborate with IT department to ensure successful interpretation of circulars into IT requirements.
  • Create and execute communication plans including notices to policyholders, agencies and impacted internal partners.
  • Evaluate Amerisures product portfolio against the competitive landscape and target market needs to determine potential product enhancements and retirements.
  • Lead coverage design of new products and manuscript endorsements.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed product changes. 
  • Propose corresponding training content and coordinate with Underwriting and corporate training resources to promote full understanding of the new products.
  • Create and maintain a product map to evaluate and address product interactions.
  • Report product performance using designated key performance indicators and metrics. 
  • Develop and Manage relationships with internal and external partners to achieve mutual success. 


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field. 
  • 5 years demonstrated coverage analysis experience within the insurance industry or similar role.
  • Must have experience with commercial property & casualty lines of business.
  • CPCU certification preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
