Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. This critical role works closely with business leaders to provide HR expertise in talent management, employee relations, and other HR-related areas, as well as play a key role in key HR projects & initiatives. Summary Statement
Provides strategic human resources business partner support to assigned departments partnering with human resource subject matter experts as needed. Delivers strategic workforce planning and talent management expertise. Manages employee relations within assigned departments ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, laws and regulations.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties
- Collaborate with the management teams to design and execute workforce development and retention plans, diagnose current and future talent strategies and implement plans to build needed capabilities in alignment with business strategies.
- Manage employee relations within assigned departments through effective investigation, facilitation and mediation.
- Coach and advise managers and employees in all human resource areas by ensuring uniform and equitable application and interpretation of policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Counsel on discipline, including making recommendations for performance management actions and terminations.
- Manage performance management process and exit interviews for assigned departments and provide reports and feedback to management.
- Develop and implement human resources programs and trainings that advance the business strategy and employee value proposition of the organization.
- Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbooks, communications, and/or meetings.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 7 years related human resources business partner experience.
- Thorough knowledge of diverse human resources disciplines including employment law, employee relations, workforce planning, training and development, salary administrations and general business management principles.
- Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
