We are looking for individuals with insurance experience as well as individuals that have no insurance experience that are eager to learn.
Our Plano, Texas location is conveniently located off of the North Dallas Tollway with access to restaurants and shopping.
Position Title: Policy Service Associate- Underwriter
Job Summary: Perform underwriting review and policy service processing for new and existing personal lines insurance business. Apply critical thinking skills to risk evaluation to ensure that policies are acceptable in our program and are rated correctly. Identify and investigate red flags.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Perform new business and renewal underwriting.
- Review and process cancellations, reinstatements, endorsements, correspondence and claim alerts.
- Evaluate risks to ensure all policies meet underwriting eligibility guidelines.
- Document policy files in a way that reflects solid thought process, decision making, and application of underwriting guidelines
- Handle in-bound customer service calls assisting agents and customers with questions and issues in accordance with company policy

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED required, with some college or 1-3 years of related experience, personal lines insurance experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to understand basic insurance principles and policy contracts
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be customer service oriented, highly organized and efficient.
