The Managed Care Services Assistant assists with a wide range of activities in support of department policies, goals and objectives; including but not limited to: contact and follow up with internal employees, communicate with external vendors and customers to obtain Cost/financial/billing, referral volume, return to work/outcomes information, create reports and presentations, maintain records, plan and organize meetings as well as arrange travel for injured workers.
- Assists with monthly preparation, analysis and distribution of data and reports from internal systems and contact with external partners. Creates ad hoc reports as requested by the Managed Care Services leadership team in support of departmental and corporate goals and initiatives.
- Creates, updates and distributes documents such as spreadsheets, reports and presentations using data from multiple databases.
- Updates and maintains databases and contact lists for external partners.
- Assists with various tasks, including but not limited to: submitting vendor referrals, planning and organizing virtual and in person meetings.
- Schedules travel arrangements for injured workers which may include hotel and flight reservations.
- Monitors and maintains office supplies and orders replacement supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Business or related field with 1-2 years relevant administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field is a plus.
- Must be proficient in Excel, including creating and using formulas to perform calculations, strong knowledge of all other Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong typing, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with all members of the department, vendors, customers, and others, demonstrating a professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the health care field and medical terminology is a plus.
