Senior Workers Compensation Underwriter - REMOTE

General Placement Service is currently recruiting for a Senior Field Underwriter for a highly respected insurer in the work comp space.  This position will manage the field underwriting for Workers Compensation accounts in the northeast corridor inclusive of PA, NJ, NY, MD, and CT.  This role is 100% working from home, with the expectation that the role can grow into a regional leadership position.  

My client is looking for applicants with experience producing and underwriting accounts that are considered higher risk and more complex than your standard guaranteed cost accounts.  Their focus is on classes like construction and transportation.  The premium size of these accounts can range up to the millions of dollars, however, their sweet spot is considered middle market ranging from $50,000 - $500,000 in GWP. Their distribution is 100% retail agent focused with limited partnership with the wholesale market. 

To be qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience underwriting workers compensation business.  A college degree and industry designations are preferred.  Multi-state experience is also preferred.
