1.  Minimum 3 years claims experience in auto or property

2.  Possess a positive, professional, cooperative, and quality conscious service attitude that upholds Central's core values of integrity, relationships, and excellence

3.  Ability to handle in-depth investigations, evaluate damages, and negotiate fair settlements on property and liability claims

4.  Accurate and consistent decision making ability

5.  Above average written and oral communication skills

6.  Ability to work under pressure and handle a heavy workload

7.  Ability to complete required training programs on a timely basis

8.  Ability to work towards AINS and AIC completion

9.  Ability to occasionally inspect claims and travel, including storm duty

10.  Ability to participate in mediation as needed

11.  Proficient math and pc skills

 12.  Ability to occasionally lift ladders and climb on roofs for inspections if needed

 13.  Bachelor's degree preferred


1.  Provide prompt, professional service to insureds and claimants

2.  Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle assigned claims

3.  Handle assigned volume of claims

4.  Develop and maintain excellent rapport with our agency force, insureds, claimants, experts, attorneys, and internal customers

5.  Complete Claims Training within a prescribed time

6.  Study for and obtain state (CT/NH) license within a prescribed time

7.  Work extra hours as needed and complete storm duty as assigned
