Brief Description/Summary

Responsible for processing Life Insurance applications and carrier status follow up while ensuring accuracy and maintaining daily service level agreements. Works with various administrative tasks assigned by Admin. Services Mgr. Must have a positive attitude and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment. Looking for 35-40 WPM in typing.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. May perform other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Customer Service Representative is Responsible for processing and quality checking Final Expense Life Insurance applications.
  • Customer Service Representative is Responsible for compiling and printing the necessary life insurance forms.
  • Customer Service Representative is In charge of processing and maintaining status updates for Quick Issue and ancillary products.
  • Customer Service Representative is Accountable for responding to internal inquiries and request pertaining to administrative processing.
  • Customer Service Representative is Accountable for maintaining department daily service level standard with the department.
  • Customer Service Representative is Responsible for supporting the main Receptionist with reception duties when needed.
  • Customer Service Representative is Responsible for calling customers to remind them of payment due dates.
  • Conducts frequent communication to proposed insureds and insurance carriers primarily via phone, secondarily through email, fax, and text.
  • Meets all Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) while consistently maintaining high levels of quality and attention to detail.
  • Receives and reviews new insurance applications for completeness, adherence to compliance and obtains missing information prior to submission to underwriting.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience Requirement

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Computer Skills/Software Training:

  • Basic computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel and Internet.
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment. Must have the ability to sit for extended periods throughout an eight-hour period, perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment.
