Qualifications Include:
- Currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Richmond, VA area*
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of Loss Control & accident prevention experience preferred
- Ability to complete surveys of policyholders' operations; Provide consulting services to their management to reduce accidents and injuries*
- Available for up to 50% overnight travel with an excellent driving record and a good sense of direction (Territory will include Virginia, Maryland, Eastern North Carolina and Southeast Pennsylvania; however, the majority of travel is within a two to three hour drive of Richmond)*
- Possess a positive, professional, cooperative, and quality-conscious service attitude that upholds Central's core values of integrity, relationships, and excellence*
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to make a favorable impression in all dealings with agents, insureds and other company personnel*
- Ability to accurately and consistently analyze data and make effective decisions*
- Strong computer skills*
- Strong math and mechanical aptitude*
- Excellent organization and territory planning skills*
- College degree preferred with ability to work toward a designation of OHST, ASP, CSP, CRP, ARM or CRM
Duties Include:
- Perform Loss Control surveys at policyholder's place of business and submit electronic reports and correspondence by defined due dates*
- Provide Loss Control consulting service to a policyholder's management and assist with their Loss Control program*
- Participate in the regional agency and employee technical development programs as required*
- Make effective agency calls to key commercial agents to explain Central’s Loss Control facilities and program*
- Successfully complete the training requirements in the Loss Control Department Career Development Program*
- Follow all Company and Loss Control Department procedures.*
