Accounting Manager - Fort Collins, CO

Brown & Brown of Colorado, Inc. is seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in Fort Collins, CO. The selected candidate will lead the accounting functions for a branch office of a national insurance agency. This position will be responsible for all accounting activities including monthly journal entries, general ledger analysis, and preparation of financial statements, bank reconciliation, annual budgeting and internal controls. Our team will rely on the Accounting Manager to maintain and promote the positive environment of the office while making sure guidelines and processes are met.
Required Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and people without stress overload
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Computer skills must include intermediate to advanced Excel, as well as intermediate Word and Outlook
- Multi-tasking is a must
- Self-motivation and a “Get It Done” attitude
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency, demonstrate a willingness to hold yourself and others accountable, and be committed to achieving success
