We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Litigation Supervisor to join our current team!

Responsibilities include:

  • Report directly to Chief Litigation Officer, who manages the Litigation Department and open litigation files
  • Assists Chief Litigation Officer in management of litigation adjusters based in Illinois and Texas regional offices
  • Assists Chief Litigation Officer in making sure authority reviews/requests are completed on time by Chief Litigation Officer on those files above given adjuster's authority level
  • Randomly audit litigation adjuster files to ensure quality control in proper and timely Reserving, Specials Field Inputting and Open Suit Logs for each adjuster being proper
  • Assist Chief Litigation Officer in keeping quality control over the workflow and reporting of both staff counsel firms based in Nevada and Illinois
  • Assist Chief Litigation Officer in setting benchmarks and/or goals as to measuring work product of each adjuster, including open time on their claim files, severity, and monthly closure #'s
  • Assist Chief Litigation Officer in monitoring legal fees for outside counsel
  • Prepare Monthly Reporting for Management as to litigation department numbers, including openings and closing of files, open pending, closure #'s, staff counsel file counts, etc.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of automobile claims liability experience
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills
  • Detail-oriented in a multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent communication skills with individuals from all backgrounds
  • Customer-focused orientation modeling patience and empathy
  • Ability to make independent decisions and use proper judgment
  • Ability and willingness to handle cases of increasing complexity and severity
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Ability to use several varying methods for claims investigations
  • High School Diploma required, some college preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
  • Ability to interpret claim regulations from multiple states
