Loss Control and Marketing Representative

Southern Mutual Church Insurance Company (SMCIC) has an immediate opening for a full time Marketing/Loss Control Representative in the Central Virginia Area. This position will be responsible for managing and further developing an existing group of Virginia Independent Agents and will be responsible for completing loss control field inspections. Applicants should possess an understanding of Church structure, operations and risk management principles.

Qualifications for this position (required):

This position will be serving the entire state of Virginia, must currently reside in Central Virginia. (Roanoke Area, Charlottesville Area, Lexington Area). This is a remote position.

Property and Casualty Agents license required

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance field (preferably commercial or claims related)

Associates degree or equivalent insurance related experience

Excellent customer service skills

Effective Written and Oral Communication Skills

Strong Time Management, Risk Analysis and Computer Proficiency skills

Qualifications preferred but not required:

Recognized insurance designations: CPCU, ARM, CRM etc.

Virginia Claims Adjuster License a plus
