Braishfield Associates, a division of Hull & Company, LLC., which is a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc. is seeking a seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant to join our team in Orlando, FL to support a large book of business for binding/brokerage authority renewals.


Responsibilities:

  • Review renewal applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions.
  • Accept or decline risks based on risk analysis.
  • Assist underwriter with new business quotes.
  • Order and review inspections.
  • Collaborate with underwriter with regard to unusual coverages.
  • Maintain knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements.
  • Compliance with Quality Control guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of insurance experience.
  • Active FL 2-20 or 4-40 insurance license.
  • Be highly energetic.
  • Be conscientious and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Able to handle a fast paced environment and multi-task.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Committed to work hard in an environment absolutely committed to excellent customer service.


Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
