Job Title: Commercial Lines Assistant - Level II
Department: Commercial Lines
Reports To: Commercial Lines Team Leader
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
Summary: Assist Team Leader & Account Manager to service a commercial lines book of business.
Respond timely to commercial client inquiries about policy and coverage questions and consult with clients on policy changes.
Position duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with all aspects of service for client base by proactively providing information, answering questions,
documenting & recording date of transmittal to client, as well as receipt & subsequent endorsement to client.
- Identify, compile & manage information for renewal accounts.
- Data entry for daily processing
- Request, install & implement policy changes to carriers & clients as required in addition to preparing new and renewal business submissions.
- Check policies & update AMS.
- Create Marketing Files in preparation of marketing submissions per approved office guidelines.
- Review policy audits; verify accuracy & facilitate correction as required between client & carrier.
- Print current applications for file, any specialty apps (obtain expiring and renewal)
- Proposal preparation & clean up
- Endorsement Follow up for receipt & related activity etc.
- Prepare finance agreements.
- Complete affidavits & Certificates of Effort for Excess & Surplus Lines filings.
- AMS-Attach and enter daily correspondence using the appropriate sub categories for related data for maintenance of all processing, mail, e-mails, etc.
- Prepare invoice processing forms for billing including monthly billings, including payment verification.
This position is back up for the following: Switchboard, Certificate Administrator, Svc. center overflow.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Insurance License required.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Applied Preferred Database software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Active P&C License
