Inside Appraiser - TX

American Access Casualty Company (AACC) is a fast-growing, highly successful private passenger automobile insurance company located in the western suburbs of Chicago. We are currently seeking talented and self-motivated people to be Claims Appraisers servicing our Texas market in the Dallas area.

Responsibilities include:

• Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage
• Estimate parts and labor to repair damage, using standard automotive labor and parts-cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair
• Determine salvage value on total-loss vehicles
• Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair-cost estimates and recommendations
• Review repair-cost estimates with automobile-repair shop to secure agreement on cost of repairs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with high quality body shops

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of writing auto damage estimates and/or equivalent body shop experience
• High school diploma is required and some college preferred
• Excellent working knowledge of an estimating system, CCC1 highly preferred
• Knowledge of all I-Car practices and procedures
• Strong understanding of the local market place
• Customer-focused orientation modeling patience and empathy
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with individuals from all backgrounds
• Ability to manage schedule including working effectively from a home office
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
