We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Claims and Client Support Supervisor in our Employee Benefits TPA Department. This position will be located in Ontario, CA. 

The Claims and Client Support Supervisor oversees the efforts of a dedicated client support team in the achievement of the production and quality goals and issue resolution. Ensures all work performed within the team is of the highest quality. Partners with the Claims Manager to ensure policies and procedures are well documented and communicated to the staff timely and effectively. Uses a variety of data analysis tools and methodologies and applies independent judgment to solve systematic problems. Runs reports and reviews performance and inventory with the client. Recommends actions and regularly exercises discretion in regards to key business processes with the team. Develops an understanding of internal operations and how related teams interact to achieve results. Demonstrates professional courtesy and represents the company in a positive manner in all areas of internal and external communication. Responsibilities include supervision and oversight of the following areas: Claims processing, Claims auditing, Client workflow and inventory reporting, and 
Relationship management and issue resolution. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

  • Ensure claims inventory is within goal. Prioritize work distribution and identify risk and opportunities. 
  • Supervise assigned team members in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Schedule and facilitate routine staff meetings to communicate department/company processes and/or changes. 
  • Develop and train staff, including mentoring, auditing, productivity monitoring and coaching for success. 
  • Collaborate directly with internal and external customers on process improvement, reporting, and status. 
  • Create regular status reporting and updates to internal and external customers. 
  • Assist team members on escalated issues. 
  • Travel as required. 
  • Assist with special projects and all other duties as assigned. 


MINIMUM SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS: 
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Must have a minimum of three years of claims experience and a strong understanding of claims processing, preferably for self-funded employee benefit plans and group health medical plans. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience. Must be proficient in working with claims data in claims processing systems, reporting platforms and Microsoft Excel. Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accurate and detailed oriented. Positive attitude and flexible hours. Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. Experienced at monitoring and maintaining production goals. 

SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Adept at accessing business data from the Internet when required. Familiarity with PC, printers and computerized voice and email systems.
