Business Development Professional
Position Overview:
Rosenberg & Parker Surety is seeking a skilled Business Development Professional with a hunter mentality. As the sales producer your primary responsibility will be identifying, cultivating, and closing new business opportunities. Knowledge of the surety and bonds industry would be helpful but is not required.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Producer will Identify hot leads
- Producer will Make cold calls in order to schedule and attend meetings and not get discouraged by rejection
- Producer will Prepare presentations and proposals
- Sales Producer will Actively participate in industry association meetings, trade shows, and conferences
- Producer will Stay in touch with potential clients
- Sales Producer will Look professional and sharp
- Producer will Report sales progress and activity to management
- Sales Producer will Engage potential clients by investigating their issues and developing solutions
- Position requires travel both domestically as well as possible international travel.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience
- Sales training or sales-based course study
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and creative
- Demonstrate comfort interacting with C-suite executives
- Single digit index a bonus
- Have a proven, measurable track record of new business success
- Own formal wear
- Excellent presentation and listening skills as well as superior verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoy presenting to large groups
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently is required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; sales and business curriculum preferred
