This position is a work from home role and candidate can be located anywhere in the Eastern U.S. This role is open due to a promotion. This opportunity is with a large, very well know organization that offers strong career advancement, benefits, and flexibility. With salary and bonus, this will likely be a $200K+ position.
This is an opportunity to manage a sales team located throughout the Eastern U.S. selling personal lines solutions to insurance carriers. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, fundamental skills development of sales personnel and exceeding the revenue objective.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and focus team's activities to exceed revenue objectives.
- Coordinate and drive new business initiatives.
- Up sell and cross sell to existing account base.
- Develop and deliver an effective region business plan including accurate sales revenue forecasts, marketing support strategies, sales promotions/campaigns, identification of competitive threats and development of effective countermeasures.
- Coordinate consultative fundamental sales skills, competition, industry specific, and related regulation and compliance trainings.
- Foster a competitive, aggressive, and winning environment with recognition and promoting professional growth.
- Talent Management: hiring, development, coaching, evaluation, and performance management.
Qualifications:
- Several years of successful sales management or related leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Internet and computer literate.
- Insurance industry knowledge, personal lines insurance a strong plus.
- Prior experience in mentoring, coaching and performance management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Ability to network effectively internally and externally.
- Proven ability to sell complex products to new customer prospects.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications with particular strength using MS Excel.
