Job Purpose

Using your customer service and problem-solving skills, you will help people resolve their claims faster. You will collaborate with and provide administrative support services to claims adjusters and leaders. We offer career pathing and a variety or growth opportunities within our organization. This role will help you gain some of the essential knowledge to be more successful on that path.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Screens and directs telephone calls while offering general assistance to customers as needed.
  2. Initiates payment processing (bills, refunds, expenses, payment corrections, etc.)
  3. Performs other duties as assigned.
  4. Responsible for properly handling any outgoing and incoming correspondence.
  5. Mentor and cross train team members.

Job Qualifications

  1. Associates degree; two years of prior work experience with a history of high performance and high school diploma; or some combination thereof. IT, Data Analysis, Financial Services, or related experience helpful.
  2. Willingness to work flexible shifts, 7 days per week with 12-hour shifts for major catastrophes, and overtime as needed for claim spikes.
  3. Ability to grasp concepts quickly, pay attention to details, think through problems logically, apply high-school-level math skills, and make appropriate decisions.
  4. Demonstrates integrity.
  5. Possesses strong English vocabulary, basic grammar skills, and professional decorum. Writing is clear and easy-to-read. Bi-lingual skills helpful.
  6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Demonstrates active listening skills through effective use of questions, reflection, and empathy.
  8. Demonstrates a bias toward exceptional customer service; experience providing customer service preferred.
  9. Demonstrates the ability to get along with work associates.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Strong design and development experience in Access and Prezi preferred.
  11. Basic knowledge of residential construction and repair techniques helpful.
