Our insurance company client is looking for their next Finance Executive in the Charlotte office.

This is the most senior Finance role in a business or region and will be a key member of the  Executive team. It is about leading and enabling the development and delivery of the business/regional financial strategy to optimize performance.  You will provide financial direction, advice, oversight and control to ensure appropriate financial planning, performance management and reporting happens, in line with business strategy, statutory and regulatory requirements.

You will lead the Finance professional community and organization across your region/business to ensure the level of capability and capacity needed to meet business goals and service standards.  Responsible for all facets of accounting and finance including financial reporting, treasury and cash management, reinsurance, corporate tax and HR support. This position is also the CIO for the Agency overseeing all faces of IT, hardware, software vendor management, telecommunications and Group, Contractual and Regulatory compliance.  A member of the Board of Directors and the Corporate Secretary, which has the responsibility of ensuring the Board operates within corporate and regulatory framework. 

Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of Insurance accounting including statutory reporting, taxes, reinsurance, and statistical filings within the property and casualty insurance industry; CPA required
  • Developing and implementing Business/Regional Financial strategy, plan and priorities in line with Regional/Group strategies and priorities
  • Advising and supporting the Business/Regional CEO in the negotiation, agreement and setting of financial and operational business plans, targets and KPIs and the conduct of the QBR process.
  • Leading or contributing to the identification, planning and execution of Regional transactions (e.g. mergers, disposals, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, etc.), to deliver optimum tax, financial and business benefits
  • Directing the development and operation of a Regional financial management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision-making at all levels
