Resident Field Property Adjuster

We have an exciting new claims opportunity now available with a leading mutual insurance carrier. The focus of this position is handling both homeowner and commercial property losses within the greater Austin, Texas area. Working from your home office, you will meet with agents and insureds dealing with a property related losses. You will scope out damages, write estimates, work with contractors, attorneys, and other professionals ultimately to settle the loss.

Prefer 3 +years claims handling experience with a positive, professional, cooperative, and quality conscious service attitude. Ability to handle in-depth investigations, evaluate damages and negotiate fair settlements on property losses.Must have accurate and consistent decision making ability with above average written and oral communication skill. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Available for overnight travel. Ability to lift ladders and climb on roofs and crawl into attics/crawl spaces for inspection. Strong computer skills including knowledge of computer based estimating (IntegriClaim). Must be willing to live in / relocate to the Austin metropolitan area.

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred with additional industry education.

Appropriate claims license needed.
