Reinsurance Analyst - Reinsurance Services – Bloomington, MN

We are currently searching for an experienced Reinsurance Claims Analyst to join our growing team. This is a full time permanent position. Hours are flexible with the possibility of working from home after training has been completed. If you're the right person for this opportunity, you will have experience/education related to the insurance/reinsurance/finance or accounting industry, advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of products (specifically Excel, including but not limited to pivot tables and v-look-ups), and the ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:
As a Reinsurance Claims Analyst, you will use analytical skills to serve operations for a Genpact Global Insurance client – including ongoing claim file maintenance, billings activity, recoverable collections, monthly and quarterly close processes and deliverables. Develops and maintains strong client and reinsurer relationships to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with service delivery requirements. Demonstrate critical thinking, independently solve problems and recommend changes to improve efficiency. Work with large data sets; extremely proficient in excel and ability to learn at a quick pace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with international team on assigned accounts to provide clients with exceptional service
- Work under pressure to meet established monthly and quarterly deadlines in a very demanding, client-focused environment
- Execute on post-placement reinsurance administration tasks, inclusive of contract interpretation, reinsurance calculation analysis, market reporting, premium and loss billing
- Maintains ultimate responsibility for coordinating query resolution with the client and ensuring effective management of reinsurer claim queries
- Cooperates with client’s internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintains and tracks aged reinsurance recoverable balances and status of collection efforts for periodic update and discussion with client
- Leads collection efforts through regular contact with brokers and reinsurers
- Ensures problem collections are escalated to management’s attention and client expectations are properly managed
- Communicate and interact with internal and external clients and vendors on questions and issues related to services provided delivering high quality service and support
- Participate in process optimization by identifying and implementing improvements
- Prepare and review assigned account work for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure procedures and service standards are documented and updated as changes occur
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite preferred
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel mandatory
- Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to take initiative
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Accuracy, thoroughness, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- Experience in insurance/reinsurance industry preferred
