The Office Claim Representative is responsible for the handling casualty claims, with a focus on auto, in compliance with established company standards and guidelines. Ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills with a strong technical knowledge of claim handling procedures. Other duties include:

Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims as assigned by the Supervisor

Monitor and direct file handling being performed by Independent Adjusters, Appraisers, and Defense Counsel

Notify Underwriting when a loss is chargeable

Recommend changes (if necessary) on approved list of Independent Adjusters, Appraisers, and defense counsel

Report all risk information to the Underwriting Department that would indicate an undesirable policy

Interact with customers, by interviewing all parties involved and using policy language
