This position reports to the Administrative Support Supervisor and works to provide administrative support, such as general office, data entry, email communications, and accounting work, to the underwriting department.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Provides outstanding service to all policy holders, business owners, agents and brokers, and ensures they are properly assisted via phone, email and/or in person.
  • Ensures all communications are routed to the correct recipient in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
  • Handles mail and document processing which may include scanning, faxing, distribution, filing, photocopying, correspondence and record keeping.
  • Completes appropriate policy actions including but not limited to policy issuance and the processing of, reinstatements, endorsements, cancellations, declinations and billings in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Though some flexibility in hours may be allowed, the employee must be available during the company’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm and for additional time outside of regular business hours, to support the company’s business needs.

No travel is expected for this position.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1 year in an outward facing customer service position.
