Digging Deeper Into Claims Litigation, Defense and Mediation
A Florida domiciled personal lines insurance company, your cases will focus entirely on personal property and homeowner’s insurance claims.

As the Litigation Claims Examiner, you actively support the discovery and resolution of litigated homeowner’s property claims files.  You have decision making authority on the day-to-day handling of assigned files as well as reserve and settlement authority up to $25,000. Complex and contentious cases, you are a proactive participant watching over the direction of defense counsel for assigned cases. 

  • Prepare for and attend mediations, depositions, settlement conferences and trials. 
  • Front line role: Appear in court on behalf of the company’s legal department.
  • Coordinate final settlement documents and payments
  • File review: Evaluate initial lawsuits; Maintain regular diary/weekly calendar on depositions and trials; Provide weekly status reports; Monitor testimony; Evaluate defense firms and attorney’s performance.

Position Requirements

  1. Experience working in the Florida court system. 
  2. At least 5-7 years of personal property homeowner’s claims handling experience. Including supervising litigation files for an insurance carrier as a licensed adjuster.
  3. Florida 5-20 or 6-20 adjuster license is required.
