Brown & Brown Insurance of Georgia, Inc. is currently seeking a talented Assistant Account Manager to join our Duluth, GA team! This individual will work with our growing Commercial Lines department. The Assistant Account Manager will work closely with the Account Manager to service new and existing accounts and achieve agency sales goals and service standards.

 

Responsibilities includes collating and assembling submissions, proposals and summaries of insurance along with performing special projects. Must have and maintain a current Property & Casualty Agent’s license for the state of Georgia. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare renewal letters and questionnaire to be reviewed by Account Manager, Follow-up for quotes i.e. Set up Activity
  • Assist with marketing by gathering information and sending and preparing applications (Activity Follow-up for Quotes)
  • Responsible for completing commercial lines checklist
  • Request experience modifications and worksheets from the bureau
  • order loss runs
  • Proofread proposals, submissions, summaries, etc. for typographical errors
  • Set up policy files
  • Set up books for policies when required
  • Prepare first draft of summary
  • Data entry & invoicing in TAM
  • Bond processing & invoicing in TAM 
  • Process routine endorsement requests (Activity follow-up)
  • Issue vehicle identification cards
  • Issue certificates of insurance (Account Manager responsible for setting up Master)
  • Order MVR’s when needed
  • Special projects as assigned by the Account Manager/Executive
  • Special projects as assigned by the profit center manager 

 



Required Competencies:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)

  • Ability to read and interpret basic insurance policies, contracts, and procedure manuals 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence within a format or develop formats for customized or original documents

  • Ability to problem solve

 

Preferred:

  • Familiar with TAM (The Agency Management System)
