.Net Web Developer – Buffalo, NY

Merchants Insurance Group is seeking a talented and energetic .Net Web Developer for our Information Technology Department in our Buffalo, NY location.

The .Net Web Developer position requires one or more year’s practical .Net development experience on the Microsoft platform including SharePoint development. Ability to analyze business requirements and recommend a thorough and practical approach to delivering and implementing the appropriate technology solution on the Microsoft platform is required. Responsible for completing technical documentation for all assigned development initiatives and ensuring the appropriate level of approval is obtain prior to application construction. Escalates any roadblocks and/or obstacles to management as needed to ensure that assigned application development deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Assists in developing the skills of other team members through cross-training efforts. Possesses the skill necessary to assume the role of Project Lead where applicable in addition to acting as Team Lead in the absence of the Systems Development Manager.

Ensures the security and confidentiality of records and information to prevent substantial harm, embarrassment, inconvenience, or unfairness to any individual on whom the information is maintained. The integrity of the information must be maintained as outlined in the company Administrative Manual.

Segregation of duties will be used to ensure that errors or irregularities are prevented or detected on a timely basis by colleagues in the normal course of business.
