Claim Adjuster - Multi-Line

MULTI LINE CLAIM ADJUSTER – MOUNT LAUREL, NJ

Merchants Insurance Group is seeking an experienced and professional Sr. Multi Lines Claim Adjuster to join our Claims team in our Mount Laurel, New Jersey Regional Office.

The Sr. Multi Line Claim Adjuster is expected to master at least three lines of business with a focus on General Liability and including litigated files. The Sr. Multi Lines Claim Adjuster is responsible for the timely investigation, evaluation and equitable settlement of all assigned claims and operates within all Company guidelines and procedures.  An extensive claim background is required, which will allow for effective and efficient handling of complex claims.  In addition, this individual is responsible for the oversight of retained counsel’s compliance with Defense Counsel Guidelines.  This position interacts with the Supervisor/Manager, Home Office technical managers and team members.  

The ideal candidate:

• will have a 4 year degree or equivalent work experience.
• Possess or be working towards a claims designation (i.e. AIC, SCLA or CPCU).
• 5 plus years experience handling General Liability and Litigated files.
• 5 plus years handling claims for 3 or more lines of business to include at least one of the following lines: Workers’ Comp., Property or Automobile.
