Job Summary

Responsible for handling first party and third party auto glass claims and other low to moderate dollar value auto property damage claims as well as support workload increases on the Fast Track Auto desk.

Responsibilities:

Possess knowledge and proficiency with first and third party auto liability and auto glass claims adjustment and legal concepts, including motor vehicle laws, negligence laws, financial responsibility laws and limits, and comparative negligence.

Conduct appropriate claim investigation, make liability and coverage decisions and determine payout.  

Obtain, review and understand related reports and records such as police reports, repair estimates, and insured maintenance records.

Recognize fraud, subrogation and salvage opportunities and refer to appropriate expert or in-house subrogation adjuster.

Negotiate terms of glass installation and interact effectively with auto glass vendors, audit and adjust glass invoices.

Work with and direct vendors, as required, to facilitate claims resolution.

Manage high volume of new claims and inventory.

Coordinate and manage appraisal process.

Provide quality service to all state agencies, DOAS/RMS staff members, claimants and Attorney General’s office.  

Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneous and work in highly productive, fast paced environment with accuracy and Manage file inventory by utilizing an effective diary system.

Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years auto glass and auto liability claim adjusting experience.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Georgia Adjuster’s license.

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both in writing and orally.

Ability to manage relationships in a fast paced environment including but not limited to the client, insureds, attorneys, and claimants.

Good analytical skills to review, exercise judgement and evaluate claims in order to make sound decisions.

Excellent negotiating skills and settlement practices.

Ability to formulate action plans.

Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions, ability to respond to requests timely and effectively.

Time management skills, organizational skills and ability to prioritize issues and tasks.

Ability to operate computer equipment and applications to their fullest potential.

Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
