Generate new business sales, maintain and build upon renewal relationships, and provide proactive service and account management to clients.
Essential Functions:
- Prospect and generate new business appointments
- Analyze client's insurance needs and develop solutions
- Market new business, determine premiums, prepare & present proposal to clients
- Develop strong relationships with clients through advising and offering all of the value added services available through Ansay
- Cross-sell opportunities for other departments (Employee Benefits, Wellness, etc.)
- Study trends and advances in the business and finance industries as well as changes in regulatory activities to keep industry knowledge up to date
- Attend and actively participate in agency sales training meetings
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
- Continuous filling of the Pipeline, and meeting monthly goals associated with the Pipeline
- Know and use technology available – (i.e. agency software (EPIC), Real-time, GoToMeeting, DocuSign, BlueButler)
- Continue professional development (i.e., keep current with industry changes, continuous sales training, pursue professional designations, etc.)
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in Ansay workflow manuals
- Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (from an accredited university) in Business or related field
- Positive “can-do” attitude, possess a passion for insurance, and be a self-starter who regularly demonstrates initiative
- Related experience includes previous customer services and/or outside sales experience preferably in the insurance industry
- Property & Casualty license
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Advanced technology skills including all Microsoft Office products, Skype, LinkedIn, Facebook and other relationship/lead building mediums
- Team Player who collaborates between departments and works with service/support staff
