Alper Services LLC, located in Chicago, IL, is a privately owned Insurance Broker and Consultant and is recognized as an industry leader with a long term client base and strong client relationships.  As an Account Manager in our Property & Casualty Division, you'll play an integral role in our relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and industry partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Producers and Account Executives to build risk management programs for our clients
  • Manage assigned accounts including 120-day pre-renewal meeting
  • Develop account marketing strategies with Producers and Account Executives
  • Collect underwriting information and create submissions
  • Analyze and negotiate complex coverage, premiums, and terms and conditions
  • Prepare proposals for Producers'/Account Executives' delivery to clients
  • Manage policy changes
  • Document account activities in AMS360 and according to company protocols
  • Provide timely client service, including policy and coverage questions
  • Quality control of our policy check-in process; ensure accurate and timely delivery of policies to client
  • Keep informed of industry developments and attend industry functions.  Share knowledge gained with team members
  • Continuing education and professional designation acquisition

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • ARM or CIC preferred
  • Current Illinois Property & Casualty Broker's License required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance arena
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Strong knowledge of risk managment concepts and techniques
  • Excellent business sense, problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship-building skills with clients and team members
  • Proven track record of high productivity and meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of managing and servicing large and/or complex accounts, tasks, and projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint plus experience working with AMS360 or comparable Agency Management System
