We have a position open for a full-time Claims Consultant in our Boston, MA office.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Management of client’s claims in order to create efficient, effective, and proactive strategies to reduce claim costs and mitigate exposures.
- Management of the litigation process to minimize expenses and provide fair settlement analysis.
- Coordinate activities with insurers for any issues that arise in the adjustment or management of a claim involving complex litigation.
- Assist in claim settlement negotiation.
- Conduct claims review meetings with clients.
- Claims advocacy for our clients. You will work closely with clients, insurers and account executives to bring pending claims and coverage disputes to successful resolution.
- Coordination of defense counsel acceptable to insurer.
- Evaluate exposure presented to determine appropriate policies.
The ideal candidate:
- Has 3-5 years of claims experience in liability lines of coverage.
- Has strong computer skills and is able to utilize Microsoft Office products and insurance companies/TPA on-line claims administration systems. AMS360 experience preferred.
- Workers Compensation experience preferred.
- Is self-motivated and highly responsive to meeting the needs of our clients.
- Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Is analytical with strong detail orientation, and utilizes excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
- Holds a current P & C license.
