Brown & Brown of Detroit, Inc. is seeking a motivated Enrollment Specialist who will work as a liaison between our clients and our insurance carriers, coordinating the employee enrollment process into various insurance plans (medical, dental, disability, etc). This position also provides post-enrollment support to our clients to ensure they experience the highest level of customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce communication material for clients
  • Prepare enrollment packages with benefit summaries and enrollment forms
  • Participate in client enrollment/information meetings
  • Gather completed client enrollment applications and submit data to insurance
  • Updating and maintaining internal client records
  • Answer client inquiries related to current benefit plans and provide assistance on claim or billing issues



Required Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Knowledge of group insurance products (Health, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life, etc.)
  • Must have experience within an employee benefit insurance agency or carrier 
  • Michigan Life & Health Agent License is required. If not currently licensed, B&B of Detroit will provide training
  • Proficiency in computer based skills: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Publisher; PowerPoint experience is desirable
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Responsiveness and self-motivation are key
  • The individual must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary
