We have an opening for an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to work on our Compensability Team in our Bloomington, MN location.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The most important decision in the life of a claim is the compensability decision. In this role you will provide and ensure accurate and timely investigation and eligibility determination of our high risk claims in multiple jurisdictions. You will do this by taking statements from the employer, medical provider and recorded statements of the injured worker. Your role is to define the facts, apply the jurisdictional law to the facts and determine eligibility for benefits. You will be working within a highly accountable team in a fast paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

You should have previous experience with investigating and making liability decision of workers’ compensation claims.

Excellent computer, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organization skills are necessary. Adjuster licensure, as required by jurisdiction, is also required within six months of hire. If you already have multi-state adjusting experience, that is a plus.

Qualified applicants should possess a minimum of three years workers’ compensation claims adjusting experience. A high school diploma is required; however, some post-secondary experience is strongly preferred.

This position requires the knowledge of basic legal and medical terminology, workers’ compensation law and statutory requirements, state workers’ compensation forms, claims investigation and liability determination.
