POSITION OVERVIEW: The Corporate Documentation & Procedures Specialist will gather, review, organize, manage, audit and maintain the firm’s Documentation and Procedures. This position may recommend improvements for processes and controls throughout all departments and work in conjunction with compliance.
EMPLOYEE TYPE: Contract position, anticipated 3-month term
LOCATION: Sarasota, FL
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Gather/create, review and maintain company-wide documentation and procedures;
- Research, create and test procedures not currently in place;
- Provide supporting documentation for test management;
- Review and test current procedures;
- Question incomplete procedures;
- Research pending industry changes, trends, and best practices;
- Manage, schedule, guide, provide training and direction for staff;
- Identify areas of risks and propose resolutions;
- Provide onboarding tools (customer and employee);
- Collect, analyze and propose optimization solutions;
- Maintain SharePoint site;
- Keep informed and disseminate to management pending industry changes, trends and best practices;
- Assess potential impacts of organization change processes;
- Monitor to ensure all processes and procedures are being followed;
- Support external auditors by coordinating information requirements;
- Ensure that processes and procedures are being followed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Technical competencies:
- Associates or undergraduate degree preferably in business related field.
- 5-10 years applicable work experience including Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, Training, Compliance, Audit, Controls, Project Management and SDLC.
- Previous experience in position of technical, financial, contractual, insurance and software/business intelligence.
- Superior writing, and the ability to accurately translate larger documentation to easily followed processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Visio, Adobe.
- Strong project management skills.

TRAVEL and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Spends approximately 90% of the time sitting and 10% of time either standing or walking.
- Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery.
- Visual capacity enabling constant use of computer equipment.
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communications as well as through automated devices such as the telephone
