Quality Assurance is in the center of our critical relationships with our clients, our technical team and our operations teams. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the assigned staff and managing the tactical aspects of the medical file review process, specifically the intake, turn-around time and the supervision of the QA Specialist team.     

Education:   

  • Must be trained and licensed as an LPN or RN

Description of Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the assigned staff and manage the file review board to ensure a timely, accurate processing of each file.
  • Review reports accompanying medical records to ensure that the report is complete and that all questions posed have been addressed.
  • Act as the liaison between the reviewer, team member and client regarding the process or status of the file.
  • Communicate with with the requestor regarding questions and issues.
  • Part of the decision making team for hiring, discipline and termination of staff.

Special Skills and Attributes:

  • Previous Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in medical peer review, healthcare industry, medical terminology, claims management, utilization review, pre-certification, medical administration or QA in a medical or business environment is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills required (Apple Operating System, Google Chrome search engine and e-mail).
  • Critical thinking, ability to manage time efficiently and to meet specific deadlines is a must.  
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • High level of attention to detail required.
  • Stellar communication and customer service skills, including a high comfort level in speaking with the team members, referring client, claimants, and/or physicians.
  • Exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
