Customer Service Rep - Insurance/IME/Workers Compensation

Dane Street is looking for highly motivated candidates to join our IME team as a Customer Service Representative in our Southfield, MI office. Dane Street offers an exciting work environment, competitive compensation and a strong growth potential.

Customer Service is in the center of our critical relationships with our clients, our technical team and our operations teams. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for scheduling IME exams and Peer Reviews.

Required Minimum Education:   

• HS Degree

Description of Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Edit referral and ensure that it is placed in the appropriate format.
• Intake and schedule new IMEs and peer review cases with the appropriate doctor.
• Manage sending out of appointment letters to appropriate parties.
• Manage and send out physician block time schedules.
• Review upcoming scheduled IMEs and ensure the physicians have all materials needed for the exam(s).
• Make reminder calls to claimants and provide them with IME details.
• Manage and track when required information for currently scheduled IMEs are missing/needed.

Special Skills and Attributes:

• Required skills include excellent computer skills (Apple Operating System, Google Chrome search engine and e-mail).
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• High level of attention to detail required.
• Applicants must excel in customer service skills to communicate with customers, remote team members or external contacts.
• Stellar communication skills, including a high comfort level in speaking with the referring client, claimants, and/or physician.
• Experience working as a customer service representative in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Workers compensation, disability claims, credentialing and/or medical administration experience is a plus.
