Accounts Payable Representative

Roanoke Insurance Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Representative for its Schaumburg headquarters. This busy position requires experience in insurance industry, the ability to take direction, a strong desire to grow and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in similar role, preferably in Insurance industry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working, practical knowledge of general accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable
• SAP accounting experience
• Microsoft Office skills
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Solid analytical and skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail

Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Prepare payments of the insurance company payables and claims payments.
• Review insurance company payable balances over 90 days
• Send ACH transmissions and wire transfers on the Bank portal Internet
• Prepare the monthly account current reports and the monthly bordereaux reports.
• Reconciliation of the premium paid and claims paid using SAP  financial reporting package.
• Train as AP operating representative  back-up
• Follow all company procedures and guidelines and complete all required courses
