Roanoke Insurance Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Representative for its Schaumburg headquarters. This busy position requires experience in insurance industry, the ability to take direction, a strong desire to grow and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in similar role, preferably in Insurance industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working, practical knowledge of general accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable
- SAP accounting experience
- Microsoft Office skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Solid analytical and skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail
Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Prepare payments of the insurance company payables and claims payments.
- Review insurance company payable balances over 90 days
- Send ACH transmissions and wire transfers on the Bank portal Internet
- Prepare the monthly account current reports and the monthly bordereaux reports.
- Reconciliation of the premium paid and claims paid using SAP financial reporting package.
- Train as AP operating representative back-up
- Follow all company procedures and guidelines and complete all required courses
