The PD Unit Claims Manager will manage a team of claims supervisors and adjusters in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.  

Responsibilities

• Manage adjusters and supervisors in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Primary ownership for results and claim outcomes, including internal and external relationships. 
• Provides oversight and direction on claims with regard to reserving, investigation, evaluation of coverage, payment, and final resolution. 
• Responsible for the administrative duties of monitoring attendance, personnel issues, performance evaluations, counseling statements and disciplinary action. 
• Provide guidance and direction to staff with regard to the proper reserving, investigation, evaluation of coverage, and payment of losses for the PD department.
• Assists staff in verifying PD policies and procedures: coverage, benefit eligibility and appropriate handling of the loss consistent with claim handling Best Practices.
