The Dimmitt Insurance Producer sells insurance to new or existing clients, including life, property, casualty, automotive, and any other type of insurance needed.

The Insurance Producer is responsible for prospecting and generating new business through leads and referralsto grow the customer base.

The Insurance Producer meets with potential clients to get information about their needs and coverage, matches insurance policies to their needs, and explains options to the client.

In addition, the Insurance Producer reviews policies to ensure they are current, recommends and/or makes changes to policies to meet a client s changing requirements, and helps clients settle any claims on their insurance.

The ideal candidate has a Property & Casualty License (required) (220 or a 440), a Bachelor s Degree (preferred but not required), and preferred 1 year of insurance sales experience.

The Insurance Producer must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Develops a coordinated protection plan by calculating and quoting rates for immediate coverage and long-term strategies.

Conducts policy reviews and provides policy updates.

Develops base for long-term sources of clients by using referrals from Dimmitt Automotive Group clients and external sources.

Completes coverage by delivering policy and planning future follow-up visits to evaluate needs.

Provides continuing service by processing changes and/or recommending new insurance products/services.

Develops potential clients by utilizing mailings, phone solicitation, making presentations to groups at company-sponsored gatherings, and speaking publicly to community groups on the subject of financial wellbeing.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Establishes sales quotas and manages overall sales goals.

At least one year of relevant experience.

Fundamental understanding of sales skills and techniques.

Working knowledge of the insurance sales industry.

Ability to deal with confidential information appropriately.

Comfortable prospecting, including generating leads and internet and database research.

Property & Casualty License Preferred.

Confident, self-starter who works well independently.

Possesses a positive, professional, and welcoming attitude.

Comfortable approaching/selling high-net-worth clientele.
