Job Responsibilities

You will be multi-tasking while working in a small office environment. Applicant must have a 440 or 220 license with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast paced independent insurance agency environment. Applicant must have a positive attitude with a desire to succeed and must be extremely organized.

  • Take incoming calls from existing and new customers
  • Meet with walk in clients
  • Review policies with customers and explain differences in coverages
  • Round out accounts in your book of business
  • Rates, quotes, and issues policies as required.
  • Follow up on action items
  • Reviews endorsements for accuracy and attaches to management system
  • Prepares change requests to the company requesting policy changes, and updates Applied accordingly.
  • Keeps suspense (activity) items current.
  • Issues Evidence of Insurance and Auto ID cards, as needed.
  • Issues Summaries of Insurance.
  • Prepares Invoices for agency billed accounts
  • Enters policy detail on accounts not yet entered.
  • Processes mail.
  • Keeps abreast of industry changes and trends.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 440 License required with desire to pursue a 220 license
  • Applied TAM Knowledge is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Must possess a positive, pleasant, “can do” attitude
  • A commitment to providing clients with an outstanding customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly self-motivated
  • Ability & Willingness to service and sell
  • Committed to working in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong attention to detail required
