Billing & Collections Specialist

Summary:

CapSpecialty seeks an energetic, adaptable billing and collections professional to add to its experienced, team-oriented staff. With exceptional service to agents and policyholders, this role's primary goal is delivering billing ease through all payment channels. Other responsibilities include:

  • Proactively identify R3 system and      internal processing improvements. 
  • Collaboratively work in a team      environment, providing knowledge and assistance to other team      members. 
  • Receive or post cash as required. 
  • Reconcile financial statements.
  • Pursue collection activity.
  • Perform daily report analysis to ensure      the quality and accuracy of financial data.

Successful candidates will possess many of the following characteristics:

  • One to three years of experience with      financial decision-making, accounting or cash handling (reconciliation,      spreadsheet creation, etc.).
  • Previous property & casualty      insurance preferred. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-resolution      skills.
  • Proven exceptional customer service,      communication and phone skills.
  • Admirable organization and team-interaction      skills. 
  • Successful computer skills.

A two-year Associate's Degree in accounting (or equivalent) and previous collections experience are desirable.
