GENERAL SUMMARY:Accurately perform branch functions while providing a high level of personal service as described below.

Identify member needs and provide information and assistance in meeting them.

Knowledgeably assist members with their consumer lending needs.

Adhere to both individual and branch sales goals as assigned.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Interview loan applicants to obtain personal and financial data and review loan applications for completeness, accurately entering information in loan systems.

Evaluate applications and make recommendations to loan officers to approve or deny loan requests based on automated loan system results.

Assist in the loan funding process by following Direct Lending Center procedures.

Perform general and vault teller functions such as receiving deposits, processing loan payments, and cashing checks.

Balance currency, coin, and checks.

Process membership applications.

Understand and explain CFCU products and services.

Identify member needs and process requests for additional products and services.

Participate in business development events and actively solicit new memberships, loans, and additional products and services.

Process non-monetary mail to completion.

May be required to become a Notary Public based on the needs of the branch location.

Assume a lead role within the branchOther duties as assigned.

RequirementsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Employee must have a valid Driver s License and access to a vehicle in order to efficiently travel among branches within the region.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Two-year certificate from college or technical school, plus two to three years related experience and/or training.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated qualifications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to write clear and concise correspondence, including email, using correct spelling, grammar, and format.

Ability to read and interpret documents including loan agreements and debt obligation documents.

Ability to speak clearly, tactfully, and effectively to members, volunteers, and employees at all levels of organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS:Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based applications.

Ability to effectively use all applicable banking and loan systems.

Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm and 10-key by touch.

Ability to quickly learn specialized software applications.

OTHER:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Employee must be flexible, a self starter, highly motivated and able to work independently.

Ability to work effectively with members and employees at all levels in the organization.

Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of member, employee, and Credit Union information.

Accurate and efficient cash handling skills.

Detail orientation and accuracy.

Excellent customer service skillsAbility to become a Notary Public if required.
