The Personal Lines Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing and developing the agency plant in New York to profitably achieve production goals for Personal Lines.  The Personal Lines Sales Specialist will provide sales assistance and education on Merchants products, underwriting eligibility and appetite to agents as well as administer training on Merchants systems to key external personnel and internal colleagues.  Responsible for developing effective working relationships with agents, provide required competitive information to the Eastern and Western Regional offices and utilize current technological offerings to execute various agency management initiatives.

We are seeking candidates who possess 5+ years’ experience in the P&C industry; preferably with a sales/marketing background.  CPCU and other industry designations are a plus.  Sales driven with a high energy level.  They will exhibit superior customer focus, effective time management skills and is self-motivated with the ability to work independently.  They will have well-developed presentation skills and the ability to travel within the assigned territory.  A valid driver’s license is required.
