A growing international insurance carrier is actively recruiting an Underwriting Analytics Specialist.  This individual will be part of a dynamic team that is working with a world class Accident & Health practice and will be an integral part of the Product Development team, leading and working with colleagues both internal and external to complete pricing of A&H products for filing with regulators.  In addition, the position will be responsible for financial reporting functions for A&H, providing insightful analysis, working closely with FP&A and corporate actuarial.

The position will report directly to the line-of-business leader, will be a visible position within the organization, and would be expected to build strong relationships with internal departments as well as with third party partners.  Close collaboration across the organization is important to the ability to succeed.
 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or another quantitative subject matter.
• ASA designation is preferred but candidates on the pathway to achieving ASA who are otherwise qualified will be considered
• Experience with Accident & Health insurance pricing is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex and creative analysis and to apply the depth of quantitative analytic skills and business acumen that comes with 4 or more years of insurance experience
• Strong knowledge of insurance operations and at least a high level understanding of Financial, Underwriting, Claims, Information Technology, Legal, Marketing and Sales functions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
