Overview
The Application Operations Engineer is an Information Technology department resource who will ensure continued delivery of production services through scheduling, execution and monitoring of production jobs across multiple applications. Creates and maintains procedures to ensure consistent production performance considering capacity, system limitations, operating time, and desired results. Analyzes and revises existing production documentation as necessary. Directs compilation of records and reports concerning production. Advises on organizational, procedural, and work flow plans, methods, and procedures analysis. Analyzes the results of monitoring controls and recommends changes to improve processing and utilization.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the scheduling, execution, and monitoring of production jobs.
- Identify, report and aid in the diagnosis and resolution to problems with production job execution.
- Coordinate with end users, IT personnel, and vendors in planning and executing changes to the production schedule.
- Update and maintain documentation on production processes.
- Produces monthly reports on production processes.
- Drive improvements to production processes.
- Apply and advocate security and change management policies by identifying and addressing situations that are not in compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
- The position receives guidance with respect to overall objectives; some of the work is completed independently within division or department policy guidelines to achieve assigned objectives.

Qualifications
Required Skills:

- Excellent mathematical skills are required for accuracy in developing and managing to time-phased production schedules.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of four years of IT education and work experience.
- Three years of relevant work experience related to Application Operations.
- Demonstrated time management, organizational and priority setting skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in a Fast Paced Team oriented environment.
