At Windhaven we lead with legal and we are looking for a talented Staff Attorney to add to our team.
The Staff Attorney defends the company against lawsuits for Personal Injury Protection and Physical Damage claims brought against the company. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of civil litigation and insurance law as well as a strong work ethic.
Principal Responsibilities
- Manage a large case load comprised of PIP and PD lawsuits.
- Respond to Complaints, Discovery Requests, and file other Motions with the Court, as needed.
- Takes and defends depositions.
- Argues motions in Court.
- Corresponds with Plaintiff attorneys to discuss cases and negotiate for the dismissal or resolution of cases at all stages in the litigation process.
- Work effectively with others and otherwise align with the Windhaven Core Values.
Desired Skills and Experience
- A member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- At least 1 year of experience handling PIP/PD cases is a MUST.
