Enrollment Specialist - Employee Benefits - Sterling Heights, MI
Company: Brown & Brown of Detroit, Inc.
We are seeking an enrollment specialist who will work as a liaison between our clients and our insurance carriers, coordinating the employee enrollment process into various insurance plans (medical, dental, disability, etc). The enrollment specialist also provides post-enrollment support to our clients to ensure they experience the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Produce communication material for clients
- Maintain internal client records
- Prepare enrollment packages with benefit summaries and enrollment forms
- Participate in client enrollment/information meetings
- Gather completed client enrollment applications and submit data to insurance carriers
- Answer client inquiries related to current benefit plans and providing assistance on claim or billing issues
Required Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-3 years related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of group insurance products (Health, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life, etc.)
- Experience within an employee benefit insurance agency or carrier is highly desirable
- Proficiency in computer based skills: MS Outlook, Excel, and Word - PowerPoint experience is desirable
- Michigan Life & Health Agent License is required. If not currently licensed, B&B of Detroit will provide training
