An experienced financial reporting accountant performing assigned month end accounting functions at an advanced level; quarterly reporting, year-end audits and special projects. The Sr Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for assisting in preparing the financial statements and analyzing the results. This position will also be a primary contact with the external auditors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 40% Financial ReportingPrepare and analyze financial statements Assist in the preparation of financial results packages 20% Monthly ClosePrepare journal entries Prepare reconciliations Present at monthly P&L and cost center reviews 20% AuditAssist with managing the external auditors fieldwork team Prepare PBC s Respond to auditor requests 10% Controls Review and documentation of key controls 10% Other Tasks As Assigned Special projects Requirements3 to 6 years of previous accounting experience required BS Degree in Accounting required Certified Public Accountant preferred Big 4 experience preferred Month-end close experience, including journal entries and reconciliation required Financial reporting experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced Excel skills Ability to work well with other team members Strong organizational skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work under pressure&meet deadlines Ability to work with strict confidentiality Disclaimer: The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature and level of work required of the referenced position; they are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of individuals in this position.
