There's never been a better time to do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: Rate Implementation - update rate cards with required rating factor changes and perform required testing to ensure rating factors are loaded properly into the company's rating administration systems Product Pricing - perform pricing of new products and/or plan designs using the company's proprietary medical and pharmacy benefit pricing tools Competitive Analysis - gather and analyze rate and plan information for primary competitors in each market Pricing Analysis - perform periodic analysis of the company's projected experience by line of business versus manual rates to determine supportable pricing actions Rate Filings - support the preparation, submission, and monitoring of required rate filings with state and federal regulators Actuarial Certifications - support the preparation and submission of required annual actuarial certifications for small group rating compliance Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed 4 or more Actuarial exams 2+ years of experience working in a corporate environment including experience collecting, analyzing and summarizing qualitative/quantitative data At least an advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in finance or the health care industry Experience using MS Access, SQL (Structured Query Language), SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and/or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) Careers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
