Updated:April 11, 2017 Location:Orange, CA, United States Job Family:Professional Job Description&Salary Range UC Title: Senior Administrative Analyst Position Number:10007007 Reports to:Assistant Director PFS Working Title:Senior Administrative Analyst Cost Center:Patient Financial Services (8550) Bargaining Unit:None FLSA:Exempt Job Code:7242 Date Created:02/17/2017 Shift:Day Shift Hours:40.00 Position Summary: Incumbent plays a key role in the organization's transition to electronic billing (EDI) and electronic payment posting ensuring optimization of existing and/or newly acquired technology and compliance with increasing government mandated HIPAA requirements in the claims arena. Implements, modifies and troubleshoots specified computer systems, data flows, information transmissions, and report designs throughout the receivables cycle. Using a collaborative process, the incumbent will contribute significantly to the analysis of accurate data exchange between Registration, Patient Financial Services Patient Accounting System, Revenue Audit and the current in-house claim scrubber. Maintains safety and security procedures to ensure Invision system security. Salary Range: Rate Minimum$57,400.00Maximum$97,300.00 Required Qualifications: Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and develop and recommend new processes as needed Ability to lead others on a project basis Ability to read and understand intent of regulatory documents to be able to assess impact on current operational processes Ability to think critically and problem solve independently and/or collaboratively as the situation dictates Ability to think critically and problem solve independently as well as collaboratively as required Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify priorities and manage workload accordingly Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word Detailed knowledge of registration, billing and collections processes and data requirements gained through at least two years experience working in a hospital based environment utilizing an automated Patient Accounting system Familiarity with rules and regulations governing various payers Must possess the knowledge to map specifications for EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) using ANSI-837 Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize key information clearly and concisely Strong knowledge of MS Office products to include Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word Strong knowledge of healthcare automated systems utilized in a Business Office environment Strong oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate with staff, senior management and external constituents Understanding of billing related EDI formats and requirements Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Computer Sciences Knowledge of UC policies and procedures Project management experience Specific knowledge of Invision Patient Accounting System Physical, Mental&Environmental Demands: To comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 the essential physical, mental and environmental requirements for this job are listed below.
